Eugene Stinnett, 86, of Twin Falls peacefully passed from this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home with his loving wife and other loved ones around him. Eugene was born July 3, 1931 in Hazelton, Idaho to Paul and Lola Mae Brown Stinnett. His family was joined by his sisters; LaRae and Sandy. Eugene graduated from Hazelton Rural High School in 1950 where he lettered in basketball, baseball, football, and track all four years of high school. He started driving truck for Harding Truck, right out of high school. This was the beginning of his lifelong career of driving truck for Bekins, PIE and CF. He was very proud of the 4 million miles that he drove in his lifetime. Eugene also spent 3 years in the National Guard, from 1950-1953. In 1953 Eugene married Leanna B. Anderson. They were blessed with 5 children; Dan, Jerry, Kent, Brent, and Brenda. The family moved several times, living in; Utah, California, Idaho and Washington. Eugene loved to fish, and he enjoyed teaching his children to fish when he was home. When Leanna became ill Eugene loving cared for her. After Leanna passed in 1997 Eugene moved back to Twin Falls. In 1999 Eugene met and married Robin Pickett. They spent many happy times fishing, camping with their Good Sam's Club friends, traveling to family and friends homes, playing cards, their weekly Bible study group, family get-togethers, and many busy times. Eugene is survived by his wife, Robin, his children; Dan (Annie) Stinnett, Jerry(Debbie) Stinnett , Steven Kent Stinnett, and Brenda (Massoud) Ghadiani. Also; David (Mary Ann) Sweet, Becky (Gary) Hurt, Kandi(Rod) Rutledge, and Melody (Kelly) Breshear, his sisters; LaRae Wilcox and Sandy Martin, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his wife Leanna, a son Brent, a grandson Levi, and granddaughters Kari and Amy, and his brothers-in-law; Russ Wilcox and Arden Martin. Funeral services for Eugene will be Friday, November 3 at 12 PM at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls. The viewing will be at 11 AM, prior to the service.
