Doris Miracle Finney

Doris Miracle Finney passed away quietly and gently at her home on Monday April 8, 2013. She was born in Buhl, Idaho on October 14, 1936 to Gorman “Slim” and Barbara Miracle. She attended schools in Twin Falls, graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1956. She attended the University of Idaho where she met her future husband, Floyd Allen Finney. They were married in 1957 in Twin Falls. They had two children, Fred and Yvonne. They were later divorced. Doris worked at Twin Falls Canal Company, retiring after 25 years. She always loved her job and was proud of the number of years she worked for the Canal Company. After retirement she spent a great deal of time playing cards, excelling at bridge. She was a long-time active member of Beta Sigma Phi and worked as a voulenteer at the Perrine Bridge Visitors Center. Doris was very artistic; she made jewelry, oil painted, tole painted and was always looking for new projects to express her creativity. Doris was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Fred Finney of Canby, Oregon; daughter Yvonne (James) VanSickle of Kimberly, Idaho; three grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Greene, Jamie VanSickle and Austin (Shelby) VanSickle and by one great granddaughter Kyra VanSickle. She is also survived by her sister and brother in-law Pat and Bob Richards of Twin Falls and her nieces, Dana (Harry) DeHaan and Valerie (George) Leonard. A memorial gathering will be held, where stories of love and friendship by family and friends will be shared at Rosenau Funeral Home Community Room on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 2-4 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Dustin Godfrey and the staff at Rosenau Funeral Home.
