Donna Marie Dillon Morrill, 78, of Twin Falls, passed away October 27, 2023 in Twin Falls.
She was born October 2, 1945 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Edward Victor Dillon and Melba Cox Dillon. Donna grew up in the Twin Falls and Kimberly area attending school at St. Edwards Catholic School and Kimberly High School where she graduated. She married Brent Morrill and they had a family of 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. They were later divorced. Donna was a loving homemaker and mother who held many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints including callings in the Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She also taught early morning seminary for 8 years. Donna attended Idaho State University and graduated in 1988 as an Elementary Special Education Teacher. She taught at Bickel Elementary in Twin Falls for over 22 years. She retired in 2010 as a well-respected and admired educator in her field.
Donna moved to Twin Falls in 2005 where she resided until her passing. Donna continued to serve in her church including a service mission as an employment specialist. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family. She had a special place in her heart for her little dogs throughout the years. She was a good listener and a loyal friend to many and loved by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Donna is survived by her children, Amy (Kevin) Sorensen of Gunnison, UT, Ann (Jon) Mitchell of Garland, UT, Audra (Jonathan) Hinckley of Salt Lake City, UT, Quinn (Melanie) Morrill of Woods Cross, UT and Ed (Tuk) Morrill of Ban Bueng, Chonburi, Thailand; brother Robert (Gayle) Dillon of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by her grandchildren Garrett, Kate, Mitchell and Benjamin Sorensen; Samuel (Kathryn), Abbie, Gillian Mitchell; Stephanie (Skyler), Rebecca, Rose and Bryant Hinckley; Keira and Kendall Morrill; Marrisa Morrill and four great grandchildren, Grace, Miriam, Adelaide and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Gene), one sister (Vicki) and one grandson (Rory Mitchell).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023 at 12pm at the North Point LDS Chapel located at 1134 N College Rd W, Twin Falls, ID. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30 prior to the funeral service.
There will also be a viewing at Rosenau Funeral Home located at 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls on Friday November 3, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the St. Luke’s Hospital ICU and nursing staff.
