Donalyn Briggs Rackham Jorgenson

Born Donalyn Briggs to Wayne and Nina Briggs on March 22nd, 1941, in Idaho Falls where she grew up. Donalyn married Bert Rackham in April of 1959. Together they had 4 children and spent over 50 years making memories until he passed. She was a great mother but nothing brought her more joy than all of her Grandchildren making time for all 34 of them. She never missed an opportunity to call and sign you Happy Birthday or even just a call to brighten your day. Some of her favorite times were taking the family camping or just getting together. Everyone has their own special memories with her, all of them unique and special. As time went on Donalyn became blind but that did not slow her down. She spent many years helping others in The Commission for the blind. Donalyn was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She was also a published author and songwriter; she won several awards for her poetry. In her later years she and Eldon Jorgenson met and fell in love with 11 amazing years together traveling and visiting the LDS temples, the time they had together may have been short in comparison, but overall, some of the happiest times of her life. Family is everything to her, she was the most giving and kindest beautiful soul I have ever known, nothing would bring her down even in her last days she would make sure everyone around her had a smile. She has given us all so many wonderful memories that spread across 5 generations she loved us with everything in her. Although she has left us she will be reuniting with her loved ones, waiting in the heavens for her. She leaves behind her Husband Eldon Jorgenson, Sister Janice Weeks, and her Daughter Laurie Todd, 8 Grandkids, 21 Great Grandkids and 7 Great-Great Grandkids not to mention all the cousins, nieces and nephews who are all going to miss her to the moon and back. She is preceded in death by her Parents Wayne & Nina Briggs, Brothers Nolan & Gale Briggs, Sister Elaine Walhen, Husband Bert Rackham, Son’s Blain & Tom Rackham, Daughter Sheryl Rackham and her Granddaughter Shawna Rackham and Grandson Shane Rackham

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints at 222 Birch St South in Kimberly ID 83341 on Saturday February 8th 2025

Viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:45 with Service to follow starting at Noon following the burial at Twin Falls Cemetery.
