Dolores Margaret Welker, 88 of Twin Falls passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. Dolores was born on September 29, 1923 in St. Louis County, Missouri the daughter of Elmer and Dalzire Bock Sr. She attended school in St Louis County. In 1941 she married George R. Thiel in St Louis County, MO. He preceded her in death in 1961. On September 13, 1986 she married D.O. Welker in Twin Falls. During the first nine years of their marriage they traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with a motor home club. Mr. Welker passed away in 1996. In 1954 Dolores had her own column in the Perris, CA newspaper for about a year and a half. She had also been involved with the Girl Scouts for 2 years as a troop leader when Jackie was younger. Dolores was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dolores is survived by her brother; Elmer Edward Bock, Jr.; daughter, Jacquelyn Meta Thiel; 2 sons, George Richard Thiel and Edward Joseph Thiel; grandchildren, George Cohn, Richard Cohn Jr, Elizabeth Cohn, Scott Thiel, David Thiel, Staci Thiel, Karen Thiel, and Jodi Lovato;16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 2 sisters and a great-grandson, Tristan Swafford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Eastland LDS Chapel with Bishop Richard Smack conducting. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 19 from 5-7 pm. at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls and from 10-10:45 a.m. the day of the services at the church.
