If you lived in Twin Falls, it is likely you saw a young man riding all over town on a bicycle with a big smile and a curiosity for what was happening. If you wanted to know what was new in town, you only needed to stop him on the street to find your answer and be greeted with his easy humor.
Trae (David William Becker III) was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 3, 1978 to David and Karan Becker. He attended schools in Boise and Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School. Trae was a member of Hope Lutheran Mission in Nevada.
After working locally for small businesses, he was employed by the Salvation Army in Twin Falls where he ran the After School and Evening Youth Program for many years and volunteered with the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Program. Trae was well-known for his volunteer work with many community services and events. His zeal for the Twin Falls community led him to be nominated for the Franklin Community Volunteer Service Award.
Trae passed away on August 25, 2017 with his mother by his side. This kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Henry and Billie Winterholler, grandparents Thora and David Becker, and brother-in-law Dean Heileman. Trae is survived by his father David Becker of Twin Falls and his mother Karan Becker of Twin Falls; sisters Erin Heileman of Twin Falls and Regan Becker of San Diego, California; brothers Bill Becker of Seattle, Washington and Dawson Becker of Twin Falls; and many loving relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Hajjar, Dr. Steven Kohtz, and Saint Lukes Home Care and Hospice for their devoted care of Trae.
