“Dave” passed away peacefully at his home July 25, 2021 at 12:45 AM.
Dave was born October 26, 1942, to Robert Douglas and Ramona Geneva Henderson in Rexburg, Idaho and where he grew up. Dave graduated from Madison High School in 1960.
Dave graduated from Idaho State University with degrees in Drafting and Business Engineering. He was in ROTC while attending Idaho State.
In 1967 Dave was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and served as Data Processing Plans
and Operation officer at Ft. Lee, Virginia. Upon leaving the US Army in 1969, Dave went to work as Planning Engineer for Westinghouse Nuclear Idaho. He met his wife, Janice, while working there and they were married February 4, 1972.
Dave went to work for Lamb Weston Potato Processing at American Falls, Idaho in 1974 as Project Engineer and was promoted to Plant Engineering Manager in 1976. He went to work for Carnation Potato Processing in 1984 as Plant Engineering Manager in Othello, Washington and left there in 1990 to take a job as Divisional Industrial Manager for Universal Frozen Foods in Twin Falls Idaho. Lamb Weston purchased Universal Frozen Foods in 1994; Dave went to work in the Twin Falls Plant and retired in 1997.
Dave and Janice bought a townhouse in Lexington, Kentucky and traveled between Lexington and Twin Falls to spend time with children and grandchildren. They moved back to Twin Falls, Idaho full time when their Kentucky grandchildren were both in school full time.
Dave enjoyed his church, family and friend and the outdoors (working in the yard).
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Robert Douglas Henderson, mother, Ramona Geneva Henderson, sister, Bette Jane Mitchell and brother John Henderson.
Dave is survived by his wife, Janice, daughter, Ramona Fry (Stephen) (Lexington, Kentucky), stepchildren Marcie Scarrow (Stacey), Arnold (Tre) Mason (Donna), Sister Geneva Beasley (Las Vegas, Nevada), grandchildren, R.J. Bennett (Emma) Jennifer Granger (Jeremiah) Nicholas Fry, Brett Fry, Brian Scarrow, Justin Scarrow and four great-grandchildren Billy, Sidney, Luke, Wesley and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 31, 2021 at 1pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls, with a luncheon to follow.
