Clint Gordon Carter

December 19, 1968 — January 2, 2025

Beloved Husband, Father, and Friend Clint Gordon Carter, age 56, of Twin Falls, Idaho, peacefully passed away at home on January 2, 2025, following a courageous and nearly nine-year battle with melanoma.

Born and raised in Twin Falls, Clint grew up in a home filled with love, laughter, and the firm foundation of family values. He attended Sawtooth Elementary, O’Leary Junior High, and Twin Falls High School, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and a passion for learning.

Clint attended Brigham Young University before serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Colombia and Ecuador. After returning, he was introduced to Deanna, the love of his life. Their relationship meant traveling back and forth for a time, so he transferred to USU to get the girl. Soon after they were married Clint decided he still “bled blue” and transferred back to BYU, graduating with a degree in Humanities.

Clint and Deanna were married for eternity on July 30, 1993, in the Logan Utah Temple, beginning a beautiful love story that spanned over three decades. Together, they built a life of joy, devotion, and adventure. Eventually settling back in Twin Falls, they welcomed four cherished children—Coby, Andrew, Savanna, and Kate—and three grandchildren, Kye, Nathan, and Nora, who became the light of Clint’s life. A family man through and through, Clint’s greatest joy came from cheering on his children, especially at tennis matches, where he eventually became a volunteer coach for the Twin Falls High School Tennis Team. His warm spirit and encouragement left a lasting impact on countless young athletes.

Clint had a natural affinity for technology. His love for computers and the internet blossomed into a fulfilling career in IT, where he became the patient, approachable “go-to” guy for any problem, no matter how complex. He loved to joke that his job didn’t exist when he was in school, but his passion for learning and innovation made him a natural fit. His dedication extended beyond his career; Clint served as a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, where he formed treasured connections and was honored as the 2021 Chamber Volunteer of the Year.

Though Clint faced many challenges in the final years of his life, he faced them with unwavering faith and a steadfast love for his family. His testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his devotion to his Heavenly Father carried him through even the darkest moments. His humor, strength, and kindness remained a beacon of hope to all who knew him.

Clint is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna, their children—Coby (Robyn), Andrew (Megan), Savanna (Bradley), and Kate (Ben)—and his adored grandchildren, Kye, Nathan, and Nora. He is also survived by his parents, Gordon and Susan Carter, and his siblings: Melinda Sant (Michael), Rachael Wight (Jeff), Blake (Estee), Tiffany Gremmert (Ryan), and Analee Hirschi (David). Preceding him in death are his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father-in-law, V. Clair Wardle.

Clint’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
