Clifford Eldon Hawley, born on February 10, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska, has sadly passed away on October 2, 2023 in Rogerson, Idaho. Clifford was a dedicated Physical Security Officer with the Department of Homeland Security, specifically stationed at the Social Security office in Twin Falls. Throughout his career, he received numerous accolades and professional recognition for his exceptional work ethic and commitment to the safety of others.
During his time in service, Clifford was honored as Officer of the Month on several occasions, earning him the admiration and respect of his colleagues. In addition to his exemplary performance within his role, Clifford was also commended for his bravery and assistance during the harrowing Hampton Inn shootout in 2011.
Clifford's passion for protecting and helping others extended beyond his professional life. Described as having a very big personality in a compact body, he approached every interaction with warmth and compassion. He would always lend a helping hand without hesitation, going above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of those around him.
The love story between Clifford and his soulmate Sheri began early on when they crossed paths in 3rd grade. Their connection only grew stronger over time as they shared their lives together for an incredible 50 years. Their love was a shining example of commitment and devotion. Together they built a beautiful family that includes their beloved son Andrew, who provided them with two precious granddaughters.
Beyond his professional accomplishments and loving family life, Clifford had various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for collecting coins as well as M&M dispensers and Pez dispensers. These collections were a testament to his curious and appreciative spirit.
One of Clifford's proudest accomplishments in life was undoubtedly the enduring love he shared with Sheri, the happiness they found through raising their son Andrew, and the joy they experienced through their cherished granddaughters' lives.
Clifford's memory will be forever cherished by his surviving family and friends. Sheri, his loving and devoted wife, Andrew and Maegan Hawley, his son and daughter-in-law, Savannah and Krysta Hawley, his granddaughters, and their mother Heather Hawley, as well as Michaela and Kaitlyn Hawley, his nieces. Clifford's brother Tom Hawley preceded him in death.
Clifford Eldon Hawley will be remembered as someone who always put the needs of others before his own. His kindness, unwavering support, and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. As we honor Clifford's memory, let us find solace in the knowledge that he has left behind a legacy of love and selflessness that will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known him.
