Clifford Theodore Bymaster

September 23, 1926 — May 8, 2017

Clifford T. Bymaster 90, of Twin Falls passed away on Monday May 8, 2017 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Twin Falls. He was born in Rockford, Illinois to Clyde and Ina Bymaster on September 23, 1926. Cliff joined the US Navy in 1944 and served until 1946. He received his BSEE degree from the University of Illinois, and after working for various engineering firms in California he worked for Woodward Governor Company until he retired in Fort Collins, CO in 1980 as chief electrical engineer of the engine and turbine division. Cliff married Pauline Roof on July 1, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona. They bought a farm in Wellington, Colorado and raised a small herd of cattle and some hay, while Cliff was still at Woodward Governor Co. Together they spent many happy years on the farm, enjoying their animals. Each creature, animal, fowl, was treated like an extended member of the family and each had its name. Among Cliff's lifelong interests were electronics, woodworking, cars and travel. He spent many hours, sometimes difficult, but enjoyable, upgrading his houses and property to excellent condition. He restored cars, mainly early small Buicks and Oldsmobile's. In later years he enjoyed traveling and seeing the world with his dear companion, Terri Brutke. Pauline, his wonderful wife of 42 years passed away in 1998 after a short illness. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Verle, Dwight and Lawrence; two sisters Ruth Taylor and Hattie Winters; and a loving companion of eight years Fay Hollinshead. Cliff had no children but leaves behind a stepson Ronald Roof, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Surviving him are also his loyal friends Tom and Connie Hunsader, Matt and Wendy Kullinger, Nani and Thomas Darvell, Bobby Norris, Cory Schwab, his unofficially adopted grandson Robert Schwab and especially Terri Brutke who he shared his last years in Twin Falls and their home in Yuma with. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home Community Room. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
