Clarence E. Sweet

July 10, 1934 — March 2, 2014

Clarence E. “Bud” Sweet Jr., 79, passed away at home March 2, 2014, surrounded by family. Our loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend will be greatly missed. Bud was not one to take life too seriously. It wasn’t uncommon to see him initiating a snipe hunt, pulling a prank on his friends, or setting off a room with laughter with a quick witted comment or unbelievable anecdote. His kidding nature is what drew family and friends to him and he was adored by all. He always lived, loved, joked, and played with his whole heart. He approached everything in life with an enthusiastic “yes”. His boundless spirit for this walk through life was witnessed by those around him, not only in his chariot racing, hunting, fishing, biking, riding ATV’s and mountain climbing, but also in the way he thrived on helping others in need. His philosophy on life, “The Code of the West”, was simple on its face. He would give, loan, help, and trust anyone in need, no matter how big or small. But on a much deeper level it was his all-encompassing belief in humanity and the goodness of people that separated Bud from most. We all felt immensely loved by him but we all know that it was nothing compared to the love and companionship that he felt for his wife, Marjorie. There is an everlasting, inseparable bond between them. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Sweet, children Stephanie, Brian and Susan, grandchildren; Summer, Sadie, Brandi, Sawyer and Parker and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Eunice Ehresman and Sharon Thomas. A celebration of life will be held on Friday March 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E Twin Falls.
