Claire Walcott Theener, 91 of Filer passed away on Friday April 11, 2014 at Rosetta Assisted Living in Twin Falls. She was born on July 31, 1922 in Buhl, Idaho to Clarence & Faye Walcott. She was the first of 5 children. She graduated from Buhl High School in 1940 and went on to attend college in Albion and then 2 years of nursing school in Chicago. She also attended Idaho State and earned her degree in music education at Boise State. She married Ernest Theener on October 24, 1943. To this union were born three sons Ron, Gerry and Mark. She lived on the Theener family farm for 65 years. She taught music in Twin Falls and Filer. She directed church choirs in Filer and Buhl, was a part of the M.V. Symphony, Dilettantes, was a member of the chapter AH PEO for 50 years plus, she was also a member of the Daughters of American Revolutionary War, bible study groups, American Auxiliary Legend and the Poplar Hill Club. She loved her many many books, cross stitch, tole painting, needlepoint, sewing, playing bridge and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Gwen) Theener, Gerald (Sharon) Theener and Mark Theener; one sister Doris Almy of San Diego, California numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by grandchild Ron (Courtney) Theener Jr. and their children Delanee, Kambre, Easton & Whitlee; grandchild Tammy (TJ) Farnsworth and their children John, Kase & Sicily; grandchild Michael (Tanya) Theener and their children Rhett & Taeylor; grandchildren Skyler Theener, Brock Theener, Brad (Dawn) Williamson, Izaak (Delany) Kyah, Fayson, Brady, Ryan, Kelly (Kasha) Williamson, Lyndsay, Jacob, Michael (Megan) Williamson, Natalie, Claire, Riley Vanleeuwen, and TJ Riuz. Claire is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest; brothers Bob and Al Walcott; sister Lenore Cook and grandson Christopher Theener. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls, with a funeral service held on Thursday April 17, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Fuenral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
