On August 24th, 2023, heaven gained another angel. Brooke Ann Kloer, 40, of Murtaugh, Idaho passed away peacefully at home with her beloved Jed and three loving daughters by her side.
Brooke was born on June 7th, 1983 to loving parents Pat and Kathy Jones in Twin Falls, Idaho. Big sister Brandy waited anxiously at home to welcome her into their family.
Brooke grew up living on her Grandpa and Grandma Jones’ small farm for much of her younger years. There she and her sister Brandy got into their share of mischief with the help of Grandpa Jones. She enjoyed feeding the cows, following Grandma in the garden, riding on tractors, and riding horses with dad, mom, and Brandy. Camping and fishing were favorite family moments too. When Brooke became a little older, she would get all dressed up in her jeans, boots, and cowboy hat and would help ride the cattle pens with her dad.
Brooke attended and graduated from school in Murtaugh. Here is where she formed life-long friendships and met her husband and forever partner Jed Kloer. She participated in basketball and volleyball where she earned the Most Valuable Player award. After graduating high school, she attended Utah State University and C.S.I where her love for animals took her to achieve a vet tech degree.
Jed and Brooke were high school sweethearts and after many years of courting, they decided to “tie the knot” on September 17, 2010. Of this union, three beautiful daughters were born. Audria Grace, Ella Mae, and Adelynn Claire.
While working on her tech degree and after receiving it, she was employed at West End Veterinary Clinic, a job she absolutely loved.
When Jed and her were closer to bringing Audria Grace into their family, she then settled in to become a wonderful homemaker and loving mom as their family grew. As the girls entered school, Brooke decided to follow them. She felt blessed to be able to work as a school aide. Here, she formed even more friendships with faculty and children alike.
Brooke is survived by her husband Jed Kloer, her three young daughters Gracie, Ella, and Addie, her parents Pat and Kathy Jones, in-laws John and Linda Kloer, Takisha (Mike) Brinkerhoff, sister Brandy Brown (Daniel) and her maternal grandmother Lueanne Hopwood (Gene). Close nephews and nieces include Brytan Brown (Mackenzie), Zoey Phillips (Blake), and Emersyn Brown, Beckham and Liam Brinkerhoff. Plus, many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James R. Baker and paternal grandparents Kenneth and Anna Marie Jones. Also, four cousins, John Graff, Debbie Jones, and Katie and Kristy Baker.
Brooke’s family would like to thank her oncologist Jessica Thibault MD, as well as all the staff and nurses at the St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Twin Falls and the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Not the be forgotten, Michelle Capps and the entire staff at the Murtaugh Schools. Brooke was eternally grateful for everyone’s kindness, support, and friendships she acquired while working there.
Last but not least, Brooke’s family would like to thank the entire community of Murtaugh. This little village got Brooke, Jed, and their girls though many hardships over the last five years.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at the Murtaugh Gymnasium. Service will begin at 11:00am. As Brooke wished to be cremated, there will be no graveside service. Her family will take Brooke to her and Jed’s favorite fishing hole where her spirit will fly freely.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a fund for Brooke and Jed’s three daughters at First Federal or by a donation to Murtaugh School.
