Barbara Taylor Harley Dudley
Mom was born on February 11, 1929 in Wendell, Idaho. Her parents were Karl and Lymetta Collings Taylor. She graduated from Wendell High school in 1946. She always took pride in the fact that she graduated in three years and lettered in girls basketball.
She married Dad, Orville Harley, on July 31, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. They farmed and had a small dairy in the West Point area southwest of Wendell. They lived there and raised their three children until Dad passed away in 1987. Mom moved into Wendell and worked at Simerly’s Grocery Store until she retired in 1991. She married Lawrence (Gene) Dudley in 1991. They moved to Jerome and resided there until he passed away in December 2007.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and her brother, Donald.
“Granny” is survived by her three children, Tom (Ronna) Harley, Marcia (Juan) Iniguez, and Brenda (Jim) Durfee. She is also survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the many people that helped with Mom’s care over the last year; Elizabeth Pulido, Twin Falls Care Center, Ashley Manor in Twin Falls, and Encompass Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
