Audrey Maxine Ruddick

Audrey Maxine Markham Ruddick passed away on Sunday November 20, 2016 at Woodstone Assisted Living in Twin Falls. She was born on June 8, 1942 in Colfax, Iowa to Bernard Edward "Benny" Markham and Edna Marie Hausauer. Audrey graduated from East High School, Pueblo, Colorado in 1960. She married Orville Phillip "Phil" Sullivan on October 8, 1960. They had three sons, Jeffery Dean (Nancy), Brent Kevin and Grant Steven (Tammy). She married Marvin Eugene "Gene" Ruddick and they had two sons, Colin Lee and Emmett Parker. Audrey is preceded in death by her father, Benny Markham who passed away on February 27, 1971; her mother Edna Hausauer who passed on May 19, 2010, sister Patricia Marie Markham Keifer who passed away on February 13, 1993 and youngest son, Emmett Parker Ruddick who passed away on September 12, 1998. Audrey is survived by one brother Robert Markham of Colorado and sister Mrs. Karen (Steven) Nace of Scottsdale, Arizona, four sons Jeff, Brent, Steven and Colin ; 9 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Audrey's father, Benny, was a professional musician so all the children in the family were encouraged to play an instrument. Audrey started on violin then piano and in school played the clarinet and bassoon in the concert band and orchestra and drums in the marching band. This early training gave her an appreciation for many types of music. Audrey's love of animals led to the raising, breeding and training of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and many other animals over the years. She owned Cumorah Kennels for 26 years and did genetic research with her animals. Audrey 's love of family extended to her ancestors as well as her descendants. She started seriously working on her family history in 1967. She has published many books of her family lineage. She worked as a seamstress for over 30 years making clothing, draperies, quilts and general sewing for customers wherever she lived . She also enjoyed crocheting and made over 40 afghans for friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Buhl. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
