Arthur Kenneth Edwards was born April 1, 1921 in Croydon, England. He died April 3, 2014, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Ken is survived by his two daughters Helen of Twin Falls, Elaine, granddaughters Brittany, Tiffany of Claremont, California, sister Pat and brother in-law Jack, nephews John, Graham and niece Helen all of Adelaide South Australia. He was preceded in death by two wives, Yvonne married 51 years, Georgia married 9 years. Ken joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 17, after 26 years retired as a Flight Lieutenant. One of his greatest achievements was being the Guard Commander for a Royal Guard of Honor for Queen Elizabeth in May 1948. On June 6, 1951 he was awarded an MBE medal (Member of The British Empire) from King George the 6th. In May of 1964 he, his wife and two daughters immigrated to Torrance, California. He had a successful career in the Airline Industry. In 2008 Ken moved with his daughter Helen and lifetime companion Marla to Twin Falls, He was well known in the Church of the Nazarene and Silver Sneakers at the YMCA. The family would like contributions to go to St. Luke’s Hospice in Ken’s name. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
