Anita Pearl Bell was born on November 10, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma, to Charlie David and Dorothy Wilma (Rinehart) Bell. She was the 12th of what would be 15 children. The family then moved to Dover, Oklahoma and lived there until 1961.
After the family moved back to Enid, Anita attended Carver Elementary School, Emerson Junior High, and graduated from Enid High School in 1975. During her years in Junior High she met her lifelong friend of 57 years, Charlotte (Ging) Culver.
Anita was the adventurous type and moved several times during her life to places like San Clemente, California, Reno, Nevada, San Antonio, Texas, and finally Twin Falls, Idaho. She was very close to her niece, Alexis Jennings and her family. She held many jobs at different places, including waitressing and food prep at Furr’s Cafeteria, security guard at various locations, and she worked in a motel in San Clemente. Her work ethic was second to none and she was known to outwork coworkers that were a third of her age. When she left San Antonio and moved to Twin falls, she was working at O’Reilly Auto Parts store. She also met a lot of interesting people, such as comedian Foster Brooks, during her times of travel.
Anita was crafty, creative, and growth focused in many ways. With a desire to always be learning and improving herself, Anita learned ASL (American Sign Language) during her time in California and studied Graphic Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014 while in San Antonio. She also enjoyed crocheting, was handy with a sewing machine and serger, was a talented artist, and was even learning to play guitar. Her personality and laugh were larger than life, and her smile could brighten any room. She cared deeply about the people in her life and would give her last dime to someone in need. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly as well as the mentally and physically disabled. She was a true gem and light for Jesus wherever she went.
Being from a large family, it is only natural that some siblings have passed from this life before her. Both parents preceded her in death, as well as her oldest brother, Charley David Bell, Jr. and younger brother Clinton James Bell. Mourning her loss are Siblings: Charlesetta Eason of Magnolia, AR, Dorthy Bell of Enid, OK,
Mayverlla Samples of Goldendale, WA, Susie Franklin of Oak Harbor, WA, Ruby Franklin of Enid, OK, Donald Bell of Stillwater, OK, Shirley Mason of Washington, TX, Aaron Bell of Enid, OK, Opal Florence Pipkin of Sulpher, OK, Beatrice Bell of Arlington, TX, Hope Scott of Tulsa, OK and M. Lynn Bell of Haskell, OK, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Anita breathed her last breath on December 30, 2024 at 4:41 pm. While Anita will be greatly missed, the memories we have of her will be in our hearts forever.
We look forward to the day when the Lord comes to take us all home and we will be reunited with her again!
