Andrae Belmont Bopp Jr.

December 8, 1936 — March 18, 2025

Andrae Belmont Bopp Jr. (Andy) of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully from a short illness, on Monday, March 18th, 2025, at SLMV, Twin Falls, ID. He was 88 years young!

He was a loving husband to Karen Griffith, Twin Falls, ID, and a wonderful father to Andrae Bopp III (Michelle), Walla Walla, WA, Tony Bopp (Janet), Booneville, MO, and Shannon Stover (GT), Garden Valley, ID. He was a proud grandfather to Kyndra Bopp (Evan), Portland, OR, Anthony Bopp (Ashton), Aiken, SC, Brent Bopp (Danielle), Kirksville, MO, Cameron Bopp (Laura Heston), Mexico, MO, Bryce Embretson and Karlie Embretson, Boise, ID. He adored his great-grandchildren James, Jack, Madison, and Elizabeth and was thrilled about a new addition coming soon. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Jon Bopp (Missie), Wildwood, MO.

Andy was born in St. Louis, MO, in 1936 to Andrae B. Bopp Sr. and Nellye Meador Bopp. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1960 with a degree in Business and Political Science. He proudly served in the US Army and Army National Guard from 1960 to 1966. Andy worked for Tom’s Foods Inc. and General Mills for 30 years as a District and Division Sales Manager. With this position, he had the opportunity to live in Virginia, California, Texas, North Carolina, and Idaho. During this time he made great memories and lifelong friends that continued to be part of his life.

Because of his love for the outdoors and fishing, he “retired” to Idaho in 1992. He worked as a CSI Athletic Fundraiser and Athletic Administrator. He then accepted a part-time position with Lytle Signs as a Sales Account Executive in 1996. He enjoyed working on “his terms” for another 17 years.

Andy was an avid outdoorsman and fished the Intermountain West and Northwest rivers and streams. He loved sharing his knowledge of fly fishing with his friends in the beautiful streams and creeks of Idaho.

Andy and Karen traveled extensively, visiting family and lifelong friends. They enjoyed their time in the Florida Keys, fishing the flats of Florida Bay and Everglades and making wonderful memories together!

He was a diehard KC Chiefs fan and a loyal Missouri Tiger! He loved many cats over the years and doted on Samantha, Momma Kitty, Fatjack, and Mowgli.

Per Andy’s request, there will not be a service held at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the fall at his favorite fishing lodge in Wyoming.
