AmaLee Brockman, 86, of Jerome, Idaho passed away Thursday, May 4, 2011 in Twin Falls after a short illness. AmaLee was born on October 11, 1924 in Broken Bow, OK, the first born of four children to Laura and Riley Bradford. She had resided in California, Twin Falls and Jerome, Idaho. She married Virgil L. Brockman and had just celebrated 69 years of marriage. She loved to cook and was a great wild game cook and loved the outdoors. She was a loving mother of four, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended church, taught Sunday School and loved gospel music. Her strong Christian faith was a vital part of her life. AmaLee and Virgil had partnered together in various businesses. The Brockman RV Sign stands bright along Hwy 84. Her love of flowers and garden were important as well as her generosity in giving. AmaLee is survived by her husband Virgil; three children, Bill Brockman, Ruby L. (Lee) Adams, and Steve (Ruthie) Brockman; 2 grandchildren, Gina McKelvey and Tammy Boscacci; six great grandchildren; a sister of Elk Grove, CA; two nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Riley Bradford, a brother, Bill Bradford, a son, John David Brockman, a sister, Eva Joan Kerns, and favorite grandson, Kip McKelvey. Graveside services Celebrating AmaLee’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.
