Allen "Alley" Leroy Laurie of Twin Falls, ID passed away peacefully Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Alley was born in Fort Bragg, California on July 30, 1945 to Oliver Laurie and Ida Barstow. He graduated from Fort Bragg High School in 1962 and eventually signed up for the United States Navy to serve his Country during the Viet-Nam war in May 1967. As an E4 Able Seaman Boatswain's Mate Water Occups Alley's duty set him on the Mekong Delta and compelled him to enlist for a second tour, rescuing boats and mapping for mines. He received the NDS, VCM, VSM, Navy Unit Citation, and the Combat Action Ribbon. Alley was honorably discharged May 1973 from the USS Sphinx 'Wisdom, Strength, Courage'. He returned to Fort Bragg where he worked his father's 42 ft. commercial salmon fishing boat the Barbara out of Noyo, California until the 1980's. Alley was a patriot who loved nature, motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Every birthday he would commemorate his age to be 18 thus, we feel, qualifying him to this eternal gift of youth. Alley is survived by his wife Kristine, brother, Michael, daughters Sara, Tara, Tanya, Jennifer, Janine, grandchildren Shawnalee, Kayla, Jessica, Ashley, Nicole, Daniel, Howard, Taujie, Matina, Allen, Charles, Allison, great-grandchildren, Lily, Selena, Ryley, Aron, Dallas, and Liberty. He is preceded in death by his son Theodore, parents, sisters Laney & Barbara, brother Eddie, and uncle Francis.
