Aletha Mae Wallace, 83 years of age passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Boise, Idaho. She was a former resident of Twin Falls/Kimberly Idaho, and Bend Oregon. Aletha was born March 21, 1928, in Albany, Oregon, the only daughter of Junius Cobb Petermen and Gladys Myrtle Garrett Petermen. Aletha married William Ormer Wallace on October 12, 1948, in Albany, Oregon. They had two daughters, Beth Anne (Betsy) Jordan of Boise, Idaho and Gala Jill English of Phoenix, Arizona. Aletha was a homemaker, dedicated to her husband and children. She loved God and placed her faith in Jesus for her salvation. Aletha was a faithful Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, first at First Baptist Church in Bend, Oregon and later at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Twin Falls, Idaho. Aletha is survived by daughters, Betsy (Chris) Jordan and Gala Jill (Greg) English; four grandchildren, Haley (Josh) Snyder, Tyler (Salina) Jordan, Adrian (Mike) Ams and Jo Hannah (Luke) Flesch; and four great grandchildren. Aletha was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 60 years and by her parents. Her family wishes to thank Harrison’s Hope hospice for all the love and care given to Aletha, not only in her last days, but also through the illness of her husband, Bill. A special thank you to Chaplains Gene and Jaci Turner, for their love and friendship over the years. The family suggests memorial be given in Aletha’s name to Gideon’s International. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Salmon Creek Retirement Center, 4890 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, Idaho with Chaplain Gene Turner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls.
